That's me, Cliff Babcock, on the left. Kathleen is on the right. (And if you couldn't tell that, perhaps you shouldn't be on the Internet, and you certainly shouldn't have a drivers license.)

The picture on the far left is the Babcock Coat of Arms and the picture on the right is the Leonard Coat of Arms.

I am part of the George Babcock line, (photo below), (Family Pictures Link) who's account of Babcock Genealogy is well documented on the Internet and at the LDS Library.

Kathleen is busy documenting the Leonard Genealogy and has extensive information on all Genealogy in Saint Clair County, Michigan. St. Clair County GenWeb

I recommend using Firefox for your browser and Thunderbird for your E-mail client. Both are much safer than I.E. and Outlook as they do not use ActiveX components. (Download Firefox). Don't throw away I.E. as Microsoft won't let you download updates with Firefox.

Here are outside links I highly recommend. I have never had any problem with these sites with I.E. or Firefox. And, no, I am not putting Google, Yahoo, or MSN there. If you don't know these you don't belong on this site... These sites will open up in a different window, or a different tab, depending on your browser and it's settings.

USEFUL LINKS, INFORMATION, COMPUTER STUFF, IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER:

An advanced file extension search site. Find out what that file is on your computer. WARNING! You had better know what you are doing before you delete a file. Click the box, enter a file extension, then click the "go" button. It works.

About firewalls and anti-virus programs:
USE THEM.
Set them to automatically update. I don't use "suites." I use separate programs, no matter the vendor. Most suites, I find, are heavy on overhead and "clog" the computer up. If you decide to change your anti-virus or firewall, be warned that most of them do not uninstall correctly, can cause you many headaches, and require you to obtain advanced computer knowledge. And most technical support leaves much to be desired. (Finding someone who speaks intelligible English can be difficult). For example, when I needed help uninstalling Norton AV, I received, (via email), 3 pages of instructions, including registry edits, from Symantec. Not that Symantec is bad, as they are pretty typical. I received similar results from Zonelabs. However, Norton and Zonelabs are two of the best out there.
